Guards Defeat St. Anthony!

November 9, 2008 by

November 8, 2008:  The Bellarmine-Jefferson Guards football squad scored 19 points and restricted the visiting St. Anthony Saints to 7 in the Guards league victory on Saturday.

The Guards now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to St. Genevieve for a Santa Fe contest on Thursday, November 13. Bellarmine-Jefferson will encounter a Valiants squad coming off a 27-13league win over Salesian (Los Angeles, CA).

The Valiants record now stands at 7-2 after defeating the Salesian Mustangs 27 -13. With both teams sporting an identical 7-2 record (3-0 in league), it all boils down to the final game of the season to see if the Guards can repeat as Santa Fe League Champions or, if a new champ will be crowned!

Next game: 7 pm Friday 11/14/08 @ Sun Valley Poly HS
