Rosamond Pulls Off Last Second Win!

BURBANK- Adam Cope caught a 27-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Carney with 46seconds left to lead the visiting Roadrunners (1-2) to a come-from-behind victory over the Guards at Burroughs High in Burbank.Carney completed 7 of 13 passes for 77 yards and two touchdowns for Rosamond.

Bell-Jeff (1-2) had a chance to win the game in the final minute as it marched to the Rosamond 21-yard line. But Micah Shirley’s pass fell incomplete in the end zone as time expired.

The Guards pulled ahead 12-9 in the third quarter after wing back Shirley switched to quarterback and connected on a 66-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Yuenyongsakul.

Shirley finished with 82 yards on 15 carries and completed 6 of 11 passes for 117 yards and a touchdown,

Mario Marquez staked Bell-Jeff to a 6-3 lead in the second quarter on a 25-yard touchdown run.
