JV Football Falls to Salesian!

November 2, 2008 by

Dispite losing Junior running back “JT” Tiscareno (dislocated elbow), the JV Guards went on to post another strong showing against Silver Valley last week.

Led by strong running by Junior, #2 Emery Else and a hard hitting defense, they began Saturday’s league rival showdown with high hopes along with a 6-1 record and early indications were pointing towards another victory.

Unfortunately, the loss of leading rusher “JT”, along with a 15 minuet downpour and to many miscues, was to much to overcome, as the Salesian Mustangs spoiled the Guards Homecoming riding away with a 20-0 victory!

Some highlights to build on for next weeks game against Saint Anthony:

#25 Andre Frazier had two interceptions

#9 Emery Else had a couple of 30 plus yard runs behind the blocking of #71 Tony Aiello

#21 Bobby Guevara, #45 Elijah Reed and #7 Kevin Yeunyongsakul played tough hard hitting defense.
