Defense Leads the Way to Homecoming!

The Guards began the Santa Fe League 3 weeks ago with an easy win on the road defeating St. Monica 33-0.

Running back Bronson Ketchum paced the Bell-Jeff offense with 257 yards in 15 carries and three touchdowns.

Receiver Micah Shirley had three catches for 124 yards and two touchdowns and quarterback Daniel Radoccia was four for nine for 131 yards and two touchdowns.

Last Friday, they went on the road to win a tough defensive battle (9-7) over Silver Valley setting things up for their Home Coming Showdown with league rival Salesian.

Bell-Jeff’s offensive is really starting to click, but the real story has been the Guards rock steady defense, lead by hard hitting Junior linebacker Alex Davidians. The 5-8, 180-pound junior has 91 tackles, including 66 over the last four games!

The 5-2 Guards  take on Salesian, 1-6 overall and 0-1 in league, Saturday night, 7pm, at Burroughs of Burbank.
