Bell-Jeff Girls’ Advance To Best Of West Finals!

CHINO HILLS - For the third consecutive day in the Best of the West tournament at Ayala High in Chino Hills, the Bell-Jeff of Burbank girls’ basketball team knocked its opponent from the ranks of the unbeaten en route to a berth in the final at 7:30 p.m. today.
Rishonda Napier had 17 points and Jasmine Smith added 13 points and 13 rebounds in the Guards’ 57-48 semifinal victory Wednesday over Diamond Ranch of Pomona (11-1).
The Guards defeated Centennial of Corona and Bishop Amat of La Puente the previous two days.
Layana White contributed 10 points and Margeaux Gupilan recorded nine points and seven steals for the Guards, who play Santiago of Corona in the final.
