Salesian Trounces Bellarmine-Jefferson!

Burbank, Ca. - The Salesian Mustangs (Los Angeles, CA) basketball crushed the host Bellarmine-Jefferson Guards, 57-36 in Friday’s league test.
The Mustangs (8-6) will now prepare for their test against St. Anthony (Long Beach, CA). The Saints go into the Santa Fe test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, St. Anthony walloped St. Genevieve (Panorama City, CA), 64-49, in a league test.
The Guards now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Genevieve for a Santa Fe test on Monday, January 12. Bellarmine-Jefferson will clash with a Valiants squad coming off a 64-49 league loss to St. Anthony (Long Beach, CA). The Valiants record now stands at 6-8.

JV Boys Recap
The JV game turned out to be a barn burner, with the Guards, led by Elijah Reed, Austin Mitsunaga and Gary Payton, winning a 52-49 last second thriller in overtime!
Coach Chris and Coach Horne have the team playing an uptempo offensive game paired with an aggressive defense, a style that is both fun to watch and a good fit for the team.
With the win, the JV Guards extend their win streak to 3 (2-0 in league)
