EL SEGUNDO - The Guards used a big second-half push to earn a 56-38 CIF Southern Section Division VA second-round win over Vistamar Friday night on the road.
Bell-Jeff (19-5) used a 22-10 third quarter to take the big lead over the VIkings of El Segundo and they never trailed thereafter.
Andre Frazier had a triple-double, tallying 17 points, 15 rebounds and 12 blocks. Kevin Yuenyongsakul had 15 and Chris Issakhanian scored 13 - with four 3-pointers.
Against the No. 10 seed, the No. 7-seeded Guards only enjoyed a 24-22 lead at the half.
The Guards will play on the road again in a quarterfinal game Tuesday at 7 p.m. against No. 2 seed Besant Hill.
