Only Bell-Jeff Moving On In CIF Baseball Playoffs!

BURBANK - All three area boys’ baseball teams that made the CIF Southern Section playoffs had to play wild-card games Tuesday.

After those games, only one squad was able to advance to the first round of the postseason.

Bellarmine-Jefferson defeated host Chadwick, 4-3, in a Division VI game. The Guards will take on host Vasquez at 3:15 p.m. Friday.

Burbank and Burroughs weren’t as fortunate.

The Bulldogs fell in a Division II contest on the road to Rialto, 6-1, and Burroughs lost to Woodbridge in a Division II game on the road, 8-3.
